Mixed Up But Unmatched

Cute

HPIM1567.JPG

I was reading about Paulette Mahurin.  She visits my blog and loves dogs.  She has a passion for helping those animals that are unwanted.   She also is very friendly to people.

This is a picture of Riley.  It is a golden retriever just 8 weeks old and belongs to my son.  I show this picture because this puppy is getting and going to get the royal treatment as long as it lives.   It will never be abused, never go without food or shelter.

We were guests in my son’s home when the puppy moved in.   Who do you think got the most attention……..the parents or the puppy?   Riley is already quite active.    But when he wears out, nothing but nothing will wake him up.  And he is very smart…..smart to choose a wonderful home.

Riley has papers.  And I don’t mean papers to piddle on.   My son had to almost go through a security check to get this puppy.  It was one of 12 in the litter.  My son did not get to choose his puppy.  The breeder matches the dog with the prospective owner.   There were other conditions to fulfill before the deal was sealed. I didn’t ask how much it took to seal the deal and I don’t want to know.   I need no more gray hair.

  2. really a cute doggie:)

  3. What a sweet puppy, you’ll have to post pictures as he grows. You must be a proud Granny? :D :D So glad your back!

  4. Dogs are always far more important than humans!

  5. Gorgeous. Our growing menagerie all came from the street.

  6. He is gorgeous and I’m so happy happy to see his photo and read about this new family addition (grandma :-) ) They are a wonderful breed and your son will have a terrific life with his new fury son Riley (love the name). We’ve rescued a couple of labs and what you describe as play and plot was true of our experience with them also. They go like the ever ready battery and plot into an anesthetized sleep through their life. Our last one, Eli, slept through the doorbell!! (don’t worry we also have rottweilers to bark at the boogie men). Thanks for this wonderful happy dance post. :-) Paulette

  7. That puppy is absolutely gorgeous! It’s nice to hear about a breeder taking so much trouble about the happiness of their puppies.

Thanks for linking to my post today.

    • Thank you for visiting too.
Yes, I was impressed that the breeder was that concerned where the puppy was going. My son told me that some of the litter had show qualities (whatever that means) and she would not let him have one of those as he was not going into that.

I wish they could remain puppies forever.

  8. Yay! The first time I’m the first to like one of your posts! He’s a beautiful puppy :-)
