Mix&MatchMeme

Mixed Up But Unmatched

Mix with Me

My blog is called Mix-and-Match because there is not a single theme I want to write about.  I have a hodgepodge of thoughts. My ideas are often confused and scrambled. They just wallow and welter around in my mind. Occasionally ideas mingle and match and are in harmony.  Other times they are in disarray and confused.

Perhaps a blog may be useful to write my thoughts and observances. It may clarify what I think. If others respond, then ideas and thoughts can be mixed.  It matters not if ideas match. Either way can be interesting.  Some ideas when mixed result in a lovely blend. Others mix and cause turbulence. The best mixture produces new ideas.

As in chemistry one must be careful what one mixes. Exploration must be done with caution.  So it is with ideas when conversing in person or by pen.  The ideas of others may not always match, but mutual respect and regard can merge differences into something interesting.

  1. Thank you for providing such a fantastic blog! I’ve only had time to read a couple of pages. When I get back to Portland, I will read more. You write wonderfully.

    Cheers!
    Stacy

  3. Thank you for taking the time to read my poetry. I really like what you are doing with your blog. Thank you for following my blog and leaving the nice comment.

    • :) I was reading Why Evolution Is True and there was a gavatar I knew. I rushed right over to your site and commented.

Then I realized I was commenting as my other self. But then as my name suggests I am a bit mixedup at times.
:) I will follow you from both sides now. Another follower is good no matter in what form it comes. lol

      sigh…………….

  4. My dear friend, I have nominated you for The Dragon’s Loyalty Award! Congratulations! Please visit this link for the rules:transcendingbordersblog.wordpress.com/2013/03/06/the-dragons-loyalty-award/

    • Thank you for the award. You have been generous to me with awards although I don’t participate.
I have never seen the Dragon award before. But to me it would mean enjoying the fantasy of blogging. To believe in the rescue that blogging can provide us from the hum drum or life. And that blogging can take us anywhere we want to go and meet and enjoy people of all ways of life. :)

  5. Yours is a blog that made me drive deep into my mind and secarch i emotions and write soo i am nominating you actually i am giving you this award :)

  7. Hi Meme, just in case pingbacks don’t work, I have nominated you for an award – see today’s post xx ps I have also nominated your good friend x

  8. How come you visited my site and said you’re not a writer?! I completely disagree. What you wrote is great and I’m not kidding. Ideas that are confused and scrambled…your words, sorta like how the mind works normally, free association. Didn’t a couple of other guys write like that (Falkner, Joyce) and hey, didn’t one of them win the Nobel and Pulitzer!? We just can’t judge our own talent. Your humility and writing disclaimer have sold me on wholeheartedly following your site. Happy Holidays friend! Paulette :-)

    • I am still not convinced. lol
I started just to see what blogging was/is. I am still not sure what blogging is. It is what we make it I guess. But I realize others have had such a big part in shaping my blog.

I think to really understand what an individual blogger is about one would have to start at the beginning and read every post in order. And at the same time read the comments and at the same time click on over to the bloggers that made the comments. It is all that interaction and intertwining of comments that makes it really impossible to understand the mind and motive of each blogger.

I try to go back and read some earlier posts of those I start to follow. I know that I have changed over the past several months and so have others.

Hey…..I’ve almost written an entire blog post right here in this comment. :)

  9. What a great blogging idea! I can never keep my thoughts in line. Better not to sometimes.

  10. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are in the midst of a great Thanksgiving weekend!

  11. Hello, I have just nominated your blog for the Tell Me About Yourself Award:

    http://clanmother.com/2012/11/20/celebrating-our-blogging-community/

Please accept my kind regards without any obligation. This is my thanks for being an inspiration to me on my blogging journey.

    Rebecca aka Clanmother

  12. This really made me smile. I more often than not, have not a clue what I’m going to blog about until I start writing. :)

    • Hi adinparadise! Thanks for reading and smiling.
I wander all over the place with my blogs. And who is going to tell me to do otherwise? lol

I like blogs that are one big surprise after another. :)

  13. Your comments Meme are more fun than the post, but your post is fun as well, in fact funnier than the comments which I find exceedingly funny. Funny that !! Ralph x

  14. Hi,
I am delighted to let you know that I have just nominated you for The Liebster blogging award! If you choose to participate the rules can be found here: http://wp.me/p2v1s2-zj

  16. To sweet blogging friend ,

This is for you to continue to mix and match much sweetly

    Super Sweet Blogging Award

  17. I am honored to nominate you for an Award(s) of your choice. Please visit me at http://sharechair.wordpress.com/2012/08/25/a-brief-intermission-for-a-lot-of-very-late-blog-love-2/ to learn about the choices. Awards are a lovely way to connect with other bloggers, but there is no pressure, and it is completely understood if you choose not to participate. Congratulations!

    • Hi sharechair,

I thank you for visiting my blog. And for thinking about me for an award. I have received a couple and passed them on. You are right they are a great way to connect. I think I will choose not to participate … not because it is not fun. But I just don’t think I can keep up. I don’t follow too many and am not too fast at preparing the blogs. Just having some come and make a few comments is my reward. :)

  18. This passage made me smile and just made me happy :)

    • I am glad it made you happy. We need to find something each day to be happy about. Just set aside even a few minutes to look around and smile.

I am coming to your blog soon and will try to make you happy again. :)

  19. I’m glad you are willing to write about what strikes you. I think that’s cool. Why limit yourself? Write what moves you.

    • I think maybe perhaps……..when we start blogging we want to write what we think will move others. lol

Can’t keep that style up for long.
I did have some things preplanned. But I find reading others’ blogs and responding to comments gives me more than enough to write about.

My favorite part is just talking back and forth and meeting a few people. Sharing similar ideas or learning new ones…no matter where we are from.

      Thanks for coming by.

  20. Holy shit I just found someone else who plays Neopets on WordPress. *screams*

    • No, lol. I never heard of Neopets before. Somebody just told me my avatar was a Coconut JubJub……..whatever that is. I love the little picture.

Maybe I could learn to play Neopets. If I can learn this bloggin’ stuff surely I can do that too. :)

Feel free to visit my blog anytime. BUT about the “Holy Shit”, would you mind cleaning up after yourself? :(

  21. I’m enjoying your poems and sense of humour, and keep looking for a “Like” button at the bottom of each post… Hint, hint :-)

    • I like ‘Likes’.

You will be joining a crowd, a throng, a horde, a host, a swarm of elite commenters.

The chosen few. But then beggars can’t be choosers.

      Thanks for your confidence.

  22. Well, I didn’t understand your answers.
Except the important one, that we are still friends.
So I guess nothing else really matters.
But if you can’t admit to a continent, at least tell me what planet you are on, and AnElephant will do a blog on space travel.
And I don’t suppose I really care whether or not it is even your voice – it is the sentiment behind it that counts.
    Hugs

    • But I did give a clue to the continent….but not in this topic.

And I am not an elephant so can’t remember where it is. B

A blog on space travel would be a good one. I know I sound spaced out most of the time. lol

      • You are not an easy lady to love, Meme.
Still no clue as to continent or even planet.
And how can you not understand lorries, bus and trundles.
Ok, so you are not from the UK (zebra crossing) which makes the Elephant quite sad.

  23. I like this! My blog also allows me to write about almost anything – but never the bad os sad things – only the things that please me in some way. :)

    • Thank you! I don’t know how you manage to write 3 things a day. I sure spend enough time in WordPress to write 10 things a day. That’s how long it takes me to crank out 1 thing.

I don’t know if I could ever stay on one subject. Often reading another’s blog gives me ideas and I take off from there. I find it fun and a bit challenging too.

  24. same here, my mind is always bubbling like a hot water spring, these days i have become so bored with their every surfacing that i dont try all of them. :)

  25. G’day,

Told ya I was coming over, and you haven’t boiled the billy or cracked the damper yet.

Hey, its your blog… Therefore your rules. Post whatever, whenever.

    Looking forward to reading more.

    John

    • I have a post in the planning about the tea party.

(I didn’t even have to Google “boiled the billy”. )

Yes, it is nice to be able to post whatever and whenever and not have “FOUL” called. I belong to a forum or 2 where you have to tippy toe around some subjects. lol

  26. Thanks for following me. Mine’s mostly a travel block but there’s a lot of mixed-up content as well.

    • About the only place I have been traveling lately is here in my blog. Easy to get lost behind the scenes. I am sure I will enjoy reading the different places you visit.

  27. I think I am regretting already. But yes, enjoying. One more notch. See I told you …. you are always following me around. :)

  28. This is going to be interesting… Ms_meme’s blog :D .

Hi my dear! Enjoy blogging :) .

  29. OH!! I forgot the whole theme of my blog. LOL Been too busy looking around and reading this and that. Maybe I better go back and read my own posts.

I will be up till midnight trying to think of something clever for tomorrow. It might just be easier if wrote a novel.

  30. You rushed right over here in your little Green Comet to make a comment. Thank you!!

Sail on great ship Chemistry? Is that some SciFi language for “Good Luck”?

    • Yeah. Only it’s not necessarily science fiction. That “sail on great ship . . .” is kind of a cliche (ref one of your posts) and its name “Chemistry” refs another of your posts. Just me mixin’ and matchin’.-)

      rjb

  31. As soon as I saw your comment on Green Comet I had to come over here and see what you were up to. I like it! Sail on great ship Chemistry!
